I've always found it a little more difficult to dress in the winter. Like most people, I have clothes in my closet that I strictly wear in the summer and clothes that I strictly wear in the winter. But as I've gotten older, I've found myself not wanting to spend so much of my money on clothing.

My Fave New Beauty Products | {Kali}

Hi guys! One thing to know about me: I LOVE trying out new makeup and skincare products. There are certain products that I feel are definitely worth the splurge (ie. foundation, blush), while there are other products that I love from the drugstore (ie. mascara, lipstick). I try to keep a good balance so I'm not going too crazy spending money on my makeup addiction. Luckily now that I work from home and rarely put on makeup during the week, my makeup tends to last way longer. Today, I wanted to share with you some of my newest favorite beauty finds!

Flower Crown | {Megan}

Once I got engaged, I knew that I just HAD to have a flower crown to wear for my wedding. I love the ethereal look and feel of a beautiful, handmade flower crown. I had a hard time deciding what flowers to choose, but ultimately ended up deciding on baby's breath, mini carnations, and some greenery.

Whenever I go shopping for new clothes, I always tend to gravitate toward solids or stripes. I think it's because I know I will be able to wear them in many different ways. Recently while shopping at Target, I went a little out of my comfort zone. The first item I bought was a printed, flowy, sheer long-sleeve kimono. I figured I could easily transition it from summer to fall. The second item I purchased was a pair of cute high-waisted floral shorts. I'm such a huge fan of high-waisted shorts because they can easily be worn with a crop top or a shirt tucked in, like I did here.

Weekend Style | {Megan}

A few weekends ago, Kali and I thought it would be fun to go on a double-date with our guys and hit up one of our favorite local restaurants. I really hadn't done anything too exciting the weeks prior, so I decided I wanted to dress up a little bit. Really, I just needed an excuse to wear my cute new top from Kohl's!





It's difficult for me to describe my specific style as I would say it's pretty eclectic. I typically love to pair simple pieces with one statement piece to make the outfit pop.

Geometric | {Kali}

My style is typically pretty girly—I love all things lace, floral, boho chic—and my closet consists of a lot of neutrals. At a recent Target shopping trip (where I was most definitely not there to buy clothes, but you know), I spotted the cutest kimonos. There were two options—navy, floral print or this coral and turqoise geometric print. Normally, I'd go with the floral print as it's certainly more my style. But this time, I decided to venture out of my usual look, and go for something a bit more bold. Of course, I still had to keep a little of my style, so I love the lace trim detailing. I love this look paired with my favorite booties!

Gypsy Traveler – Spring Bohemian Style | {Shelbie}

Warmer weather is here, so bring on the crop tops, high waisted cut-offs, and fun, flirty dresses. I've said it before—I love all things boho chic. If I could buy everything in sight at Urban Outfitters and Free People, I would. Unfortunately, I can't afford to shop at those stores very often. I do my best to imitate and find pieces that can give me that easy-going and free-spirited look.



Hats are a girl's best friend. They are there when you need a quick fix for that awful bed-head hair you can't tame. They also add a fun twist to any outfit and can be worn during anytime of the year!



A simple crop top can go a long ways. This is a wardrobe necessity during the warmer seasons!





I am in love with these pants. Talk about being on trend, adorable and let's not forget, comfortable!



I love the simplicity of these Old Navy sandals. They are easy to slip on and can be worn with any outfit! Another wardrobe necessity, if you ask me.

My Favorite Matte Lipsticks | {Kali}

Hi friends! I love love love makeup—and I've been wanting to share some of my favorite products with you guys. Today I thought I would share my current favorite lipsticks. Lately, I've been all about the matte lipsticks. I actually don't think I've bought a new lipstick in the past year that wasn't matte. I just really love the look of it! I have never bought any high-end brands of lipsticks—I only buy drugstore brands. I can definitely justify spending money on face makeup (ie. foundation, blush, etc.), however, I just don't feel that way about lipsticks. The good news is there are so many awesome drugstore lipsticks that I have to believe are just as good as the high-end brands!

Check out my favorites below! The photos of me are unedited, and were taken in front of a window with a lot of natural light, so they should show the true color of each lipstick.



1. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious
These Revlon matte balms are amazing. I want them to come out with a bunch of new colors because I would literally buy them all. The "Audacious" color is my absolute favorite right now! It's such a pretty coral-orange, and it's basically perfect for summer.



2. NYX Matte Lipstick in Pure Red
I had heard such great things about the NYX lipsticks, so I went to Ulta a few months ago to pick out a few. They were actually out of a lot of the shades I would choose, but I found a few I really loved. I think every girl needs a true red lipstick, and this one does the trick for me! They also carry the NYX line at Target now, which is very convenient, there's just fewer options than at Ulta.



3. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive
This would probably be my second favorite lipstick right now! It's a pretty shade of pink, and I can pretty much wear it with anything. It's definitely my go-to when I don't want to get all done up, but need a little color on my lips.



4. NYX Matte Lipstick in Natural
This one is pretty similar to the Revlon lipstick above, but just a little darker in color. I really love this one when I want to wear something more substantial than the "Elusive", but don't want to go with a red lipstick.



5. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Striking
This is another red that I love. It's definitely more subtle than the NYX "Pure Red" so I wear this when I'm feeling red, but don't want my lips to stand out quite as much.

All About That Bling | {Megan}

September 21, 2014 wasn't just my 24th birthday; it was the day Zeke asked me to marry him. One of our favorite things to do is go out and see new movies. Zeke has always been a huge movie buff and I've always enjoyed accompanying him to the theater. Our date night started out with a trip to see the latest blockbuster hit, The Maze Runner, and then getting some ice cream. I figured our night would just end going home and going to bed, but Zeke decided we should go on a walk. I could tell Zeke was really nervous and then suddenly, he got down on one knee and asked if I'd marry him!

I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't have any idea it was coming, because I did! We'd been together for four years and it just felt right. We'd finally figured out who we were as individuals and just knew we wanted to be together forever. I don't mean to get all corny, but it really is an amazing feeling when you both just know!



I'm glad I had an idea it was coming because it gave me time to start looking for an engagement ring! At first I was very excited, but once I began looking, I realized just how many options there were and became a bit overwhelmed. I found it very hard to find anything that I liked on the big jewelry store chain's websites. That's when I decided I was going to see what I could find on Etsy. I was pleasantly surprised at how many options there were! I found so many rings that I really liked. After browsing Etsy for a while, I decided I wanted to get a rose gold ring with a moissanite stone. I ended up finding the perfect ring from a vendor called RareEarth. It was exactly what I was looking for—gold, a large moissanite stone, and an extra plus—conflict-free diamonds along the prongs.





I decided against getting an engagement ring with a diamond in the center because I wanted a larger stone and just couldn't imagine Zeke spending that much money on a diamond ring. Especially with us both being recent college graduates and just beginning our lives together.

After I found my dream ring I didn't go straight to Zeke and tell him that I wanted it—I told my sisters, of course! Zeke is very much a guy's guy and really isn't into fashion or what's on trend. I knew if I told my sisters, he would definitely ask them for advice on picking out a ring.



For those of you who haven't heard of moissanite or don't know anything about it, here are a few facts:

1. On the refractive scale moissanite has a score of 2.65-2.9 compared to a diamond's score of 2.42.
2. On the luster index moissanite has a score of 20.4% compared to a diamond's score of 17.2%.
3. On the Mohs Hardness scale moissanite has a score of 9.25 compared to diamond's score of 10.
4. Moissanite sometimes shows a grey, yellow or green tone.
5. A one carat diamond can cost between $3,000-$5,500, whereas one carat moissanite can cost between $250-$700.

I am so in love with my ring and how Zeke proposed to me. Regardless of what my ring is made of, I am just so excited to start the rest of my life with Zeke!

Best (& Worst!) Dressed at the Oscars | {Shelbie}

I might be a little celebrity-obsessed, but I'll own it. I spent my Sunday night cozied up watching E! Live from the Red Carpet followed by the Oscars. Who doesn't love award shows!? The high-profile night was filled with the always-expected good, the bad and the down right ugly. Being a 21-year-old female, I definitely do my best to keep up with current fashion and beauty trends. With that being said, I'm not afraid to express my opinions on these matters.

Best Dressed:



We MUST talk about Jennifer Lopez first. She seriously never ages, am I right? She glowed walking down the Red Carpet adorned in a beautiful Elie Saab Couture gown. Jenny from the Block has still got it at 45 years old.

Next up, "cool girl", Rosamund Pike. The Gone Girl actress is absolutely stunning from head-to-toe. The vibrant, red Givenchy dress was paired perfectly with her natural hair and makeup—proving again, she isn't messing around.



Jenna Dewan-Tatum wore her slinky, white Zuhair Murad with grace as she floated down the red carpet. Let's not forget, she was also accompanied by the hottest piece of arm candy, her husband, Channing Tatum. From the lip color to the mirrored clutch, she receives an A+ in my book.

Jennifer Aniston redeemed herself for me this awards show (wasn't a fan of her Golden Globes getup). She really does become more and more beautiful with age. This Versace gown shows off her rocking body and accents her goddess-like complexion.

Worst Dressed:



Being a fan of many of Nicole Kidman's Red Carpet looks in the past, this year at the Oscars I was saddened. She really missed the mark in her sequin embellished Louis Vuitton. Unfortunately, I don't think she got one thing right. Don't even get me started on the awful makeup box-look-a-like clutch...

Solange Knowles really confused me in her cape jumpsuit dress ensemble. The fiery red Christian Siriano number did nothing for the beautiful 28-year-old.



You could say that 2015 was a big year for Sienna Miller. Unfortunately, the Oscars were NOT a big night for the American Sniper star. I was very underwhelmed by the all-black Oscar de la Renta gown. I just think that she could have done better for a night like the Oscars.

Viola Davis is a stunning 49-year-old, but if you ask me, this look ages her about 10 more years. The boxy Zac Posen dress is heavy and lifeless. I wish she had gone for something more vibrant and lively (like when she wowed in that hot pink Escada gown at the People's Choice Awards!).

A few others who just missed the cut for my best dressed were Emma Stone, Giuliana Rancic, Jamie Chung and Zoe Saldana.

My Favorite Fitness Apparel Site | {Megan}

For as long as I can remember, I've been a runner. My dad put my sister Shelbie and I in a summer track club when I was in middle school and Shelbie was in elementary. Ever since then, I've always been running. In middle school and high school cross country, I never gave much thought to what I was wearing. My running wardrobe consisted of t-shirts, cut-offs, cotton tanks, Soffee shorts, and I maybe had two pairs of Nike shorts.

Once I got to college, and I ran track and cross country for Northwest Missouri State, that all changed. I was around a lot of track and cross country runners that had good quality activewear, which really got me thinking about what I wanted to run in every day. The problem was, freshman year, I really didn't have much money—I was your typical poor college student. Luckily, one of my teammates told me about the website RunningWarehouse.com.

I'd always browsed online at Dick's, Sports Authority, and Scheel's, but I'd never heard of Running Warehouse. Ever since I found out about it, I always check there first whenever I need new workout gear. Let me tell you why it's so awesome.
