Best & Worst Dressed at the 2016 Oscars | {Kali}

Well, award season is officially over (sad!). As far as the show went, I thought Chris Rock was really funny and of course, enjoyed seeing Leo finally get that Oscar, but they need to figure out a way to make it shorter (11pm is way past my bedtime)! However, the red carpet did not disappoint. See my picks for best and worst dressed below!

Best Dressed:



Charlize Theron very much had the wow factor when she hit the carpet on Sunday night. Until I saw her, I was actually pretty bored with the dresses. She was the first person I saw that I was excited about. I always love a classic red dress, and this one was sexy but not too over-the-top (like, for example, Olivia Wilde's—too much!)

I was worried for a little bit when the E! Red Carpet show ended and we hadn't yet seen Jennifer Lawrence! She may have been late to the carpet, but her look was definitely not one to miss! I think people had mixed feelings about this dress, but I'm obsessed. Plus, her hair and makeup are absolute perfection!

I've always found it a little more difficult to dress in the winter. Like most people, I have clothes in my closet that I strictly wear in the summer and clothes that I strictly wear in the winter. But as I've gotten older, I've found myself not wanting to spend so much of my money on clothing.

Well, the 2016 Golden Globes was definitely one for the books. From Ricky Gervias' uncensored, but predictable jokes to some of the very surprising and unusual winners, the high-profile event was what some are calling "painful to watch" and "possibly the worst Golden Globes ever." Although many were disappointed, there is always one thing we can count on—the fashion.

Best Dressed:



Alicia Vikander has been on everyone's radar this year. The Swedish actress rocked 2015 with amazing performances in The Danish Girl, Ex Machina and The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and she most definitely rocked the Golden Globes red carpet. The new "it girl" looked classically stunning in the white Louis Vuitton dress.

Marilyn Monroe, I mean Lady Gaga, absolutely owned the Golden Globes this year. The American Horror Story: Hotel Countess slayed the red carpet in a custom black Versace gown that hugged her body in all the right places. Not only did she get to go home with her dreamy fiancé, Taylor Kinney, but she also took home an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture made for Television.
